MORE INFORMATION

  • Luss is a small village with limited parking, however, on the day of the Highland Games there will be three designated parking areas available for £5 all day. Signage and stewards will direct visitors to the nearest available space on arrival.

We strongly recommend allowing extra travel time, as roads leading into the village can become busy during peak arrival times.

Where possible, car sharing or public transport is encouraged to help reduce congestion.

Please follow all steward instructions to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.

  • Luss is a small conservation village on the western shore of Loch Lomond, best known for its stone cottages, views across the loch and easy access to the surrounding highlands.

During the Highland Games, Luss becomes a lively focal point for visitors and locals alike, with the backdrop of Loch Lomond adding to the atmosphere of the day.

  • Tickets for the Luss Highland Games can be purchased in advance online, and entry on the day will also be available at the gate.

However, we strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment, as numbers may be limited and the event can become busy.

All tickets will be checked at the entrance, either digitally or as a printed copy.

    Please note:

    • Entry is valid for the full day of the event

    • Children must be accompanied by an adult

    • Tickets are non-transferable

Full ticket information, including pricing and availability, can be found on the ticket section of our website.

  • A selection of food and drink stalls will be available throughout the day, offering a range of options for visitors to enjoy.

You’ll find a mix of hot and cold food, snacks, and refreshments from local and independent vendors, with something for all tastes.

Please note that availability may vary, and we recommend bringing some cash as not all stalls may accept card payments.

  • As the event takes place outdoors, we recommend coming prepared for all weather conditions.

    You may wish to bring:

    • Waterproof clothing

    • Sunscreen

    • Cash

    • Camping chairs or picnic blankets for seating

    • Comfortable footwear (the ground can be uneven)

    • A reusable water bottle

    • A small bag or backpack for the day

    • Sunglasses or a hat

    • A camera or phone for photos

Scottish weather can be unpredictable, so it’s best to plan for both rain and sunshine to make the most of your day.

  • There’s plenty to see and do in and around Luss, making it well worth arriving early or staying a little longer after the Games.

Families can enjoy the Loch Lomond Faerie Trail or the Loch Lomond Nature Trail which are ideal for children and a great way to explore the surrounding area.

Take some time to wander through the village itself, with its well-known cottages and views across the loch, or stop by Luss General Store, where a special tasting weekend will be taking place.

Whether you’re looking for a short walk, something for the kids, or just a chance to relax by the loch, Luss has plenty to offer beyond the Games.

  • Competitors are required to pay an entry fee to take part in the Games, with the exception of the pipe band competitors.

All competitors should sign up for their designated competition at the sign-up tent, which will be located to the left of the main entry gate.

Please ensure you register in good time before your event, as late entries may not be accepted. Please check the timings on our website before you arrive.
